The French Lop Rabbit
Originally bred in France, the French Lop rabbit is the largest of the lop breeds. The present ARBA standard calls for a large, muscular and well balanced animal. At senior weight this rabbit is impressive with does weighing eleven pounds and over. The French Lop is popular with the breeder and pet community. The breeder is constantly striving to produce that "perfect lop." Much effort is spent with the goal of improving the breed; getting that massive head, thick set body and that all important "good bone." It is also finding a place in the hearts of many families as a "house rabbit." Where can one find a pet that is clean, quiet and utterly loveable? Despite their large size, these bunnies are easy to handle making them favorite companions. I made my decision several years ago to promote this breed. Lets "salute" this irresistible, wonderful rabbit.
